I am a Finance major and I work with numbers a lot and while I am confident that you can use statistical measures to improve the play of a team and to evaluate a player, in the end you need a ruthless salesman with great negotiation skills ala Colangelo in Toronto who can pull some great trades. I really think that CD and Morey as a tandem is great, but I am not confident in Morey as the sole decisionmaker. He said some interstings things in this interview. He still believes dominant inside outside duo is the way to go. He basically said that the "small ball" evolution in the NBA is out of necessity (no big men) and not because teams think it is superior. He said Yao has a unique skillset and basically most teams don't have any quality big men which is a huge advantage for us. He said Yao is trashtalking. You gotta love that. That is the the last step to becoming a great He said Tmac is the best player when he's on his game. He also said that the Orlando Tmac had one of the best individual seasons in league history (I am assuming because he was always doubleteamed without supporting cast)
