I think by late September all this little
drama between the Judge and Les will calm down and the voters will march to the ballots and keep the Rockets in town. I just
wish I was old enough to vote [IMG]

I'm very sad to announce this, but according to Jeff it won't even come to a vote now.

    Wink,

Jeff said that without a strong response over the next few days, it wouldn't come to a vote. But we are all working with emails, a personal demonstration, pizzas [IMG], etc. to make a response and save the deal. Something can be done, and it still can come to a vote. It's not over yet.

What I find frustrating is that I live in Montgomery County and we have absolutely no say OR VOTE in what happens. I have been a loyal and diehard Rockets fan for 23 years and there seems like there is nothing that I can do. I have email the proper people and written letters and made phone call, but it doesnt help because they dont care what I and every other non-Harris County resident has to say. If we dont elect them, then they do not care about our opinion even though it will effect us just the same. Losing the Oilers was tough, but not even in the same league as if we lose the Rockets. I have always believed that Houston is a great town and really great sports town, but if we lose the Rockets then everything that other cities say about my hometown is true. We have always got the shaft in everything that we do and if we lose the Rockets, well it is deserved.

    I'm moving with the Rockets!

Guys -- trust me I love things like this being posted here, but I think it is important to support SOR, centralize the effort in that forum and make it a strong and united forum -- so I want all of our efforts to be focused there. Thanks...
