I thought he would take over for Phil, but I guess it doesn't hurt to keep your options open.

This might be the best candidate I have heard so far. This guy is gonna be a great head coach.

If Shaw has the choice of the Rockets or the Lakers, he'd probably choose the Lakers, a system already in place, sure an aging team but still far more talented than the Rockets, and it's LA where he's played his career and been for such a long time, I doubt he'd come here.

They'd never let Shaw coach the Lakers. Far too young and inexperienced

Though I think he's a good candidate, he's not the right person for this organization. Morey & Les want a coach they can control and allow them to be more "creative" with roster moves. Also, I don't think Shaw will be receptive to Morey's constant going to the media to discuss how tradeable everybody is.

Whoever we get must meet these requirements:

    1. Leave your ego out the door
    2. Have no favorites or fall in love with just professionalism
    3. Be straightforward with the truth
    4. Understand that the game has 2 sides (offense and defense)
    5. Good communication with all players, see eye to eye with everybody.
    6. Problem solving issues with anyone
    7. Hands on training and start putting tons of hours in the offseason
    8. Excellence in clutch plays,substitutions, and time-outs.
    9. Expect or asked to be evaluated by your jefes.
    10. Know everyone's potential and capabilities and how to improve it.
