Rockets neither have enough defense nor offense to compete this year.

The Rockets had many weapons that could fire in any direction from all positions. We could compete every night at the cost of energy. Rockets' team defense was somewhat clicking without a center but at this point of the season they are running on fumes, the team is also still getting to know KMartin and new tall guys.

Overall our team isn't running at its best but, our low post game is weak and looks like it could stay that way. Scola is our only answer there and if he's not hitting our post game is invisible. Our athletic/scrappiness is no longer there, Landry also inspired to fight for rebounds. Teams are now clogging the lanes and our scorers are forced to live from the 3 pt line because our post is not as lethal as it was.

    The Rockets are now predictable.

    Missing pieces:
Lowry will spark something I hope. His leadership could help ball movement and overall hustle.
Ariza is a good defender and could change offensive threats.
PF with the loss of Landry our Bench/PF punch is lost. Carl's post presence gave relief to our scoring guards because defenses had to focus on Landry.
C without a tall Shotblocker/Athletic presence our team is average/mediocre, Yao will help but he's coming off of a major surgery. Superstar Athletic PF/C is a must.

Why are we eating ourselves alive about the PG position. There are "bigger fish to fry". I trust Adelman will place whichever PG is need at the time in the right position. Like many have said we have a great dynamic duo like Scola/Landry was. Neither PG is complete but compliment each other like no other PG duo. In Morey we trust.

    ..end rant.

The fact is, Aaron Brooks does not feed the hot hand like he needs to... With Yao, Kevin Martin, and this "superstar PF" that you speak of, How is it possible to get everyone touches?

IMO we need a defensive beast down low... Especially If we are going to roll with the worst defensive backcourt in the league...

RA's postgame summary from tonight's game was honest and forthright - it doesn't really address many of the things in your rant, but ultimately it did address big obvious reasons why we've lost these games since the trade. :(

    :) !!GO ROCKETS!! :)

The fact is that your facts are wrong.

AB feeds the hot hand quite well, he fed Battier, he fed CBud....he did NOT feed Kmart last night...they need time to gel.

The Rockets I think have gotten their hearts torn out, ever since the trade of Landry it seems like nobody wants to play anymore...If you look back at Aarons swag last night versus the Magic he seems like he doesn't care anymore. Yea we might not make the playoffs, but i bet if Landry was still here the energy of this team would be exciting.REMEMBER HOW EVERYONE IN THE LEAGUE WAS SAYING HOW THE ROCKETS WERE A FUN TEAM TO WATCH? NOW THEIR A BORING TEAM WITH NO SWAG!They don't run like they use to, the steals aren't their, the hustle stopped. This is sad, really sad because I'm a very big rockets fan, and i too was torn when Landry was traded for someone who it seems to be that is looking like a BUST. i hope we resign Landry in the off-season. #1 Landry fan here!!! but i dunno about ya.

imo one trick ponies aren't all that great. shoot higher my friend.

On another note, I don't understand when talking about upgrading Carl with Stat. What am I missing here? Landry was no defensive beast and we were still able to win. Stat is a post presence. Stat has the ability to shift over for weak side blocks, shoot the open jumper, and dunk at will.

Is it b/c Bosh hasn't been traded yet? (he's really a stretch to get)

    Amare is extremely underrated.

I don't think Amare is underrated. Just because people list Bosh as their priority over Amare doesn't mean Amare sucks.

Bosh is 25, averaging 24.5 points and 11.4 rebounds
Amare is 27, averaging 21.5 points and 8.7 rebounds. Don't forget that Amare also plays with Nash in run/gun offense.

He is not Kmart. That nickname is already taken. I say lets call him KevBot. A nice mix of his first name and a Robot, because his scoring is as efficient as a Robot. That is all.
