I'm tired of seeing our "big" men getting their asses handed to them game in and game out... It's about time they show some fire and smack their opponents in the mouth... The rebounding has been atrocious... We have NO HEART whatsoever from our PF's & C's... Sure KT tries, but he has no game or skill so don't expect more than a couple accidental rebounds from him...

Mo Taylor is the 6-9 260 lb. PF who would be better suited to wearing a dress than a basketball jersey... What the hell is he doing, firing 20 ft jumpers??? Why don't you try and draw some fouls on the Twin Towers???

The Rockets are the most asinine team when it comes to playing in the other team's hands... Obviously our shooting is crappy, so why not take it to the bucket?

Rockets are a bunch of pansies who seem to not care that their getting their pride taken away by them from the likes of Malik Rose and Samaki Walker...

God, we need some testicular fortitude on this team...

We roll over and die to any team who has a better record than us...

It's embarrasing how often the Rockets don't bother to show up...

The big men are clearly getting their asses handed to them... Granted, the Twin Towers are tough, but we clearly don't have any big men who are willing to mix it up...

Francis is doing what Rudy stupidly tells PG's to do, back off on the pick...

Every PG we have had in the 90's has ALWAYS given the PG wide open jumpers from 10 ft away...

It's just proof that Rudy doesn't know how to make an adjustment to save his life...

This game is pissing me off... I expected the Rockets to at least show some kind of pride...

They were b****ing all year long about attendance, we show up and they give us this pile of s#it...

I don't think they are playing without heart, they are just playing like complete and total crap. Hopefully Rudy will rip into them at halftime, and tell the big men to drive to the basket for once. I do agree with a lot that you are saying though. The Rockets are being destroyed by Terry Porter, Avery Johnson, Danny Ferry, Samaki Walker, and the rest of the role players. You can't let that happen. That was an embarassing first half, but they did do a good job cutting it to 13. I still think they can make a run. Hopefully Rudy will tell the players to go online and read this thread, because everything they are doing wrong has been listed.

Rudy should logon to here more often, he would really learn a lot about coaching fundamentals...

During crunch time, assuming we make it reasonably close, Rudy will go to our "quick" lineup by inserting Walt at PF to put the lock down on Duncan, and KT at C so he can intimidate DRob some more...

Moochie will get the majority of the touches... Francis will be fazed out on offense... And Mobley will be crying about being fouled all game long...

Those are our big guns in the clutch...

If that were the case, I really would not be surprised.

It really bothers me that Tim Duncan is shooting 3-13, and the Rockets are down 13.

Let's see what the Rockets are made of... I don't expect a win at all, I just want to see if they can make a game of it... You know, actually make SA try hard...

The Rockets need to at least make it a close game. Make the 16,285 who showed up enjoy themselves.

Rockets have cut it down to 1 point... You know why??? THEY ARE FINALLY PLAYING PHYSICAL down in the paint... I don't mind them drilling Duncan... Make your presence felt... Make them be the one to avoid the lane...

Absolutely. If you're going to foul, FOUL HARD. What a freaking brilliant quarter. Its a shame that they couldn't stop Robinson, but all the momentum is on the side of the Rockets. They need to start the fourth strong, and keep driving to the basket. Look what driving to the hole has done. It has created wide open three pointers for Bullard, and Francis has been able to finish most of the time. I hope Rudy doesn't difer to Moochie too much, because Francis was running the offense to perfection.

Even Kenny Thomas is now making layups!!!

See, what happens when you are aggresive? The Spurs shotblocking doesn't look too intimidating anymore...

They are doing the exact opposite of the original post. Guess what? They have an eight point lead. They are playing agressively, and the calls are going their way. If it wasn't for a few miracle shots by the Spurs, the Rockets would be up by double digits by now.

We need to start throwing everything but the kitchen sink at Duncan inside... Let Antonio Daniels shoot jumpers... I don't care, just don't let Duncan get his 5 foot hook shots...

    Rockets 103, Spurs 99

One question: Why do you two set yourself up like this?

I hope this win teaches the Rockets that being aggresive reaps its benefits... We looked like world beaters in the 2nd half, due to the aggression...

Clutch, in my original reply, I said I thought the Rockets still had a chance. They won. They had a chance, and took advantage of it. It was close, but:

THEY WON THEY WON THEY WON!

Your originl post was questioning the toughness of the Rocket's big men. When you made your post, Taylor was 5-9, he finished 6-13 (1-4 after post), Cato was 0-0 and finished 1-2, Thomas finished 3-8 and one of his 2nd half baskets was a 20 footer. Duncan was 3-13 and finished 11-28 (8-15 after your post). The Rockets big men did not do anything different offensively in the 2nd half. The Rockets won because Francis and Mobley had big 2nd halves and Bullard was absolutely HUGE. Bear in mind that the Rockets big men (Cato, Taylor and Thomas) only had 11 rebounds between them. This was a typical Rocket game and a Rocket (heavy on the guard play) typical win.

I was just glad to see Cato play the entire 2nd half. Regardless of his mediocre play, he is can be a force defensively inside. Although Duncan got the better of him, he made Duncan work for his points.
