Rockets and Kings play next season's preseason games in Beijing and Shanghai

    On Saturday, during a glitzy news conference that included Michael Eisner, chairman and chief executive officer of The Walt Disney Company, one of the NBA's corporate sponsors, the league revealed its plan to play two exhibition games in China in October.

    The games, to be played in Shanghai and Beijing between Yao's Rockets and the Sacramento Kings, will mark the first time an American professional sports league has ventured into the world's most populous country (1.3 billion) to showcase its product.

    Both games will be broadcast live by ESPN to the United States.
