With losses to the Sonics and Lakers, no need to watch any more regular season Rockets games this year folks, they'll play as the 7 and maybe even win a game to avoid getting swept by the T-Wolves and new MVP, KG. Of course we're going to give the Wolves there first, first round win in francise history, who else would it be. The rest of the playoffs will be Den/Sac, Mem/SA, and Dallas/LA. The two most overated teams in the west, LA and SA will survive early scares respectively. Great finals coming in June as well, Pacers vs. T-Wolves. P.S. Can't wait to land McGrady this offseason!
Don't look too far ahead, if the rox lose their next two games(please for goodness sake pull out one of them) they may possibly be only 1.5-2 games ahead of utah for the 8th spot. I hope the Rox can buckle down here and win a few tough games. These last 22 games are going to give me a heart attack.
i actually would like idea of getting the wolves in the first round. them or the lakers...we match up against them better than others.
ironically, the first team to knock Minny out of the first round 7 years ago was , you guessed it, the Houston Rockets. I remember it like yesterday, Barkley took KG and Marbury aside and told them that if they stuck with each other, they would be a winning team in no time. looks like KG stuck around to reap the benefits. wouldnt it be sweet redemption if the Rockets pulled out the first round upset? believe
This is the problem with our fair weather fans. After a win, they're on top of the world talking about we can compete in the playoffs. After a tough loss, we're a subpar team who can't compete in the playoffs. I was at the Lakers game last night, there was 1:27 or so left with the Lakers up 2 and the Rockets had the ball and alot of fans were getting up to leave. What is that? How about staying anc actually cheering, helping the team win? How about going to the game to watch the game and cheer instead of going to show off and floss? Peace. P.S. Nope, Rockets got the 7, I'll put any money says they make the playoffs though, not too worried about Jazz, Nuggets, Blazers, Sonics, etc... Being fairweather and realistic are two different things, even winning against Sonics/Lakers would "probably" give them the 7, MAYBE the 6 if Memphis has an injury... Besides, we honestly don't deserve better anyways... Anytime after Memorial Day is a great time for summer travel... Let me know if you guys need anything else. Peace.
Oh, man, IF we play Minny and do knock them out of the first round, I will be very sorry for them. KG is such a great player and nice person. I love him.
I think this is a better matchup for Rox than Cwebb and Co. or Spurs. KG, Spree haven't been too successful in the postseason.
I would love it if the Rockets pull an upset or at least scare the hell out of a team in the first round but we'll come back in the offseason and make major moves then we'll be the suns of this year.
i like our chances against la and minnesota, sac so-so,i dont wanna play sa or dallas in the first round though
I think they changed it last season during the Allstar break, they announced the first round would be 7 games. I am telling you, whoever the Rockets play in the first round will go to 6 or 7 games.
