Looking to make some money on tonight's game with the Cavs. The Rockets are 6 point favorites. Do you think they will cover the spread or do you think the cavs will lose by less than 6.
Umm, 6 point spread? The Rockets are the better team, but I would go with the Cavs if you can get money with them losing by 6 or less. I'm not sure if that's how it works. The Rockets will win though, T-Mac will keep LeBron in check. I remember the last time we played the Cavs. It was a low-scoring, tight game with terrible officiating. I have been to some gambling sites, and I would have won a lot of money betting on games I thought about betting on, but I don't want to fall into the downward spiral of gambling. I hear it's addictive, and the more you win, the more you're gonna lose.
I usually never bet on the games involving the home team because of my feelings for the team. you never know which team will show up.
Thats why you bet on the opponent, that way who ever wins you're happy. We'll depends how much you bet I guess
granted i dont gamble (at least rarely) but betting on NBA spreads is, imo, one of the hardest to "get right". that being said, rockets by 9. p.s. betting on teams you have emotional ties is not smart
Betting rule #1: Never bet against the home team no matter what the circumstances are. Bad karma will follow if you disobey Rule #1.
NBA betting rule number 2: Never bet on jump shooting teams (example: Toronto, and Washington) One day they catch fire and dominate their opponant, the other day they will go ice cold and cant even throw the ball in the ocean.
I saw this thread from the sub forums navigation page and thought... "Rockets 6 points forwards"? Not this again!
Overall speaking gambling made Rockets less chance of winning. So many Chinese/Asians love to gamble. England always perform less than expectation on EU champion or world cup. Gambling is legal and tax free in UK.
Cavs are playing well and the Rockets can't finish out a game so teams stay close. Take the points and put your money on the cavs imo.
Cavs are 8-2 in their last 10 games. They are playing very well. It's going to be a low scoring slugfest. Rockets follow their pattern of a 4th quarter collapse with 1-2 shots in the last minute to win the game. Rockets will only lead by 2-3 points in the end.
If, I'm not playing, I'm not betting. However, I would go with Cleveland since Yao isn't playing well and Big Z might have a big night to go with LeBron's
NBA betting rule number 3 (Actually works better for College Sports, but works in the NBA, as well.): Never bet on a road favorite. Gamblers tend to underestimate homecourt advantage for the weaker team, bookies know this and take advantage of it.
