Who is the Rockets Team Captain this year? Do we even have one? I do not remember having a team captain even when JVG was around....
T-mac, captain. Do these two words bear any relations to each other in any sense? Does the privilege of being the team captain spur him to offer anything other than his lazy defense and unfair complaints about his equally lazy teammates?

I would not make Steve Francis the team captain only because his head is already big enough as it is.
Did I say that Yao should be the team captain? NO! Then spare me from your ungrounded judgement. Wasn't it that u guys keep saying T-mac lacks the mentality to lead a team? This player is weak in spiritual attributes. Only if he can learn from hard-boys like Kobe and AI. Even youngsters like Lebron overshadows him. Oh wait. Almost forgot to remind u of the match against the Hornets years ago in which Yao was bullied by D Mason. Where was our team captain then? Maybe still in his never-ending dream... It really suprised me that last season he stood up when Collison fouled hard on Yao in the end of the regular season. That was an rare occurance. He did that because he knew he couldn't end his playoffs-series-win-drought thing without big Yao, although he failed to achieve that with Yao either. You know what? That is why Chinese fans love Steve Francis so much. Steve stepped up his attacks whenever Yao got bullied. He's the real captain.
IMO, Yao would make a better captain, your big man! Not to knock Tracy, but in my opinion he doesn't make a good captain. Isn't Yao the one that called out his teammates to get to the gym early and stay late to take some extra shots? That sounds like a leader to me! Yao is becoming bigger and bigger!
It doesn't really matter who the captain of this team is because NOBODY is acting like it. Until someone steps up to the plate and show some leadership via vocally and everything.. the term team captain don't mean a thing.
Yao is also not a qualified captain, either. After all he is a Easterner. Characteristics cannot change. So he is not used to yelling at his teammates on court or backing up his buddies in players' confrontations. Guys like Jim Jackson, Jon Barry and Juwan Howard are okay.
So its not the guy that makes the entire offense flow? You guys are crazy to think its not Tmac. it is not francis he wasnt even watching when he wasnt playing.
Omg........let me explain it to you....... First of all, this thread wasn't about anybody in particular, the person just wanted to know the captain on this team. But you come in here and bring up something totally unrelated and start an ad-hominem attack on Mcgrady. I think the team knows what they're doing when they pick their leader. Last year it was Tmac and Howard as co-captain. Maybe you can't see you own tone and subjectiveness, but other people can see that.
