Its looks like the tough games are spread out alot more this coming season. I guess Stern finally forgave Van Gundy. I think thats a fair sced if you ask me. Can't wait for the start of the season. Go Rockets!!!
Did you copy and paste each date from the NBA's master schedule? If so, props to you. The Rockets web page doesn't have the current schedule up yet.
Schedule is on the Rockets site. Dallas second of the season. I can't wait for the Rockets to kick some Mav a@#.
Home Preseason Games (3): Opener Oct. 10- Memphis Grizzlies. Other Home Games: Milwaukee Bucks San Antonio Spurs Before tipping off the regular season, the Rockets will host three preseason games, starting Oct. 10 against the Memphis Grizzlies. The Milwaukee Bucks and Spurs will also come to town in the preseason. http://www.nba.com/rockets/news/Rockets_open_200607_home_stat-185910-822.html
This is the fewest in years. Ever since Yao's sophomore year, we've had at least 19/20 national games. I guess it's understandable considering how many national games got cancelled by ESPN last season. LOL
TNT could always pick them up if they are hot and another team on their schedule is not later in the season.
Oooooh...the return of Stromile! I hope he doesn't light us for for another of those monster dunks leading to his 6pts 1 rebound, no blocks night.
Sun 12 @ Miami 8:00pm -- ESPN Tue 14 San Antonio 7:30pm -- NBATV Thu 16 Chicago 7:00pm -- TNT Sat 18 @ Detroit 7:30pm -- -- That's probably the most gruesome part of the schedule, atleast talentwise...
A lot of back-to-backs Only one long road trip (Dec) Cream puff April (1 Sac, 1 Pho only playoff teams from last year) Not bad Evan
With that December road schedule the Rockets will have to "start fast" so they dont get in a hole....again. At least with April, a chance for the team to pick up momentum as they go to the playoffs!
I disagree. That stretch from Nov 4 - Dec 2 looks brutal. Dallas, Miami, San Antonio, Phoenix, Cleveland, Detroit. The only easy games in there are against New York. For the second straight season, we could start off in an early hole if our roster isn't clicking.
Agreed. And it would be the third straight season. And I hate it when they have the first game on Wednesday and then the next on Saturday. It forces us to have back-to-backs in 4 of the first 5 games, against good teams, no less, and on the road. Oh well. I think schedule isn't as important as in other leagues, personally.
