I haven't been in here in awhile. I've been spending my time mostly in the hangout ever since this summer's tragic betrayal. yes, I'm still hurt over it. so sue me.

anyway, I don't get to follow the rockets as closely as I used to, and I'm wondering if some people can give me some summaries on how a few players have been performing this season.

I'll list them in my order of curiosity:

    eddie griffin
    - how's he doing? is he getting much PT?

    glen rice
    - is it as bad as I've been able to infer?

    kenny thomas

    terence morris

    dan langhi

    jason collier

EG - Shoots the three better than I expected. He has a quick high catch and shoot release comming around picks and stuff that's really smooth and effective. On the court he looks a little bit smaller than he seemed to me in the summer league. He's 'smooth' in the same sence that Tim Duncan is. He doesn't seem like a dominant athlete/great jumper, but you can see if he bulks up into a true PF he could be awesome if plays were run for him.

Glen - Looked like a fat pig at the beginning of the season. By the NY game you could see that he was getting in shape and his game was comming back a bit, but then he got injured again so its anybody's guess, IMO.

KT - really got in shape over the summer. His best moments have come when he drives around the 'D' from the top of the key. Nice to see that he's gotten significantly better every year.

    thanks, Otto.

if eddie just continues to develop, then all is well as far as I'm concerned.

what about torres? has he been doing well?

and has jason collier ever done anything to make us think he'll ever be useful?

Eddie is coming along slowly. Torres has been a real nice suprise. He gives us what Shandon gave us with more offense, IMO. KT stepped it up considerably this year. He's thinner and supposedly stronger. The biggest difference this year is he now finishes his shots. TMO isn't getting much playing time but I've seen gradual improvements from game to game. He plays solid defense but his shot hasn't been there. Langhi is in the doghouse (probably from whining about wanting a trade). He gets trash time only. Collier has yet to play. I've never seen anything but an outside shot from him anyway. He'll probably get the max when his contract is up though:(
