I contend that criticism is justified, but we have to realise that childish name-calling, overreactive knee-jerking and endless broken record-playing are, well, the very definition of irrational. Others think that RAFER SUX, IDLEMAN IS CLUELESS and T-MAC? MORE LIKE T-VAG So, mostly irrational, or mostly justified?
The reaction to this game is completely justified. The team played like trash and lost an easy game to a subpar team.
if they can't even consistently win at home, this team deserves to be hated upon.. i mean come on...pacers? the second night of their back to back? yao + artest + day rest? still lost? wtf?
If someone is mad because they thought this would be an easy blowout win then they should blame themselves. With T-mac we don't blow teams out so why would we do it without him and Chuck Hayes.
How often do we even win without him? This team is so slow, poor at handling the ball, and creating shots that even a gimpy limping Tracy Mcgrady seems like a necessity.
Last year we won a few games without him then everyone for some reason figured we could win without him. The team is better without him than they were a few years ago but not good enough to the point that they can consistently win without him. Even with a slow T-mac out there we are better. People said our offense is better when he leaves the game. Well tonight made it clear our offense is not. At the end when it is close we need a finisher. Artest can finish games some times but he's going to most likely struggle to do it because he's not a creator. Teams easily can take Yao out the game at the end of games. Should of put Aaron Brooks in the game more in the 4th qt.
"seem" being the operative word.. and please.. leave out "without Tracy" records of our previous seasons.. and wait.. I thought an absent Alston was our fall back excuse for poor ball handling..? the telling indicator to this team "needing" him.. ? i just can't keep up with all the irrational justification..
We struggle to win when Rafer is out. We struggle to win when T-mac is out. It just goes to prove our depth isn't as good as people think and that we need just about everyone healthy to be contenders.
Your poll is irrational for a true fan. Choices could be pissed off, frustrated, disappointed all understandable. But **** them Not worth my time is the sound of a Bandwagoner with one exception end of an era. That being said this is the third loss this year that is deeply frustrating. Still we are 10-6 and tried to integrate Battier while missing Tmac. Stupid loss and terrible play down the stretch. But not a terrible team.
this season.. without Tracy.. we should be more than able to defeat teams from the Pacers down on a consistent level.. as our team is comprised of more than able depth and talent.. oh aye.. with Tracy we would've shot 45% instead of 34%.. it was that clear..... our offense was good in the first half.. as in execution.. movement.. and direction.. that along with our solid defense.. gave us the lead we maintained through most of the game.. despite shooting below 40%.. a shooting percentage that got increasingly worse.. in the 4th.. when our offense became erratic.. something that we know.. Tracy is known for preventing from happening....... I agree with you on this..
this is delusional thinking.. and if the team thinks anything like most fans here.. it's no wonder they have so much trouble moving ahead..
you and me both.. you'd think that in a game where we're struggling to make our shots.. the thought of using a 45% 3p shooter of the bench would've occured to them..
What I said isn't delusional thinking. Most teams aren't going to be contenders if there whole team isn't healthy and this team is definitely one of those teams that needs to be healthy. If Rafer goes down then Luther Head is forced to be a backup PG, which everyone knows we will not be contenders with Head running PG at anytime. If T-mac goes down we have no playmaker down the stretch. If Yao goes down, we have no big man that we can consistently go to if we need points. So how exactly is me saying we need to be healthy to contend delusional thinking?
