At this point, I'd say I would want the suns to win because although we're tryin' to distance ourselves from them, this is a good way that if we win tongiht (seems doubtful) and the Jazz lose, then we're only 1.5 back where as if both of us lose, then the margin is still the same despite the suns going ahead of us by half a game. We want to have more teams to pass and more options as possible. Another thing is that while it's very unlikely that the Lakers will miss the playoffs, one of these teams will not make it, but this could be a scenario of if that we stay within reach of Utah and in the last game we beat them on their floor, we would tie the series. The next tie-breaker would be record vs. playoff teams in the west. Utah is at 9-12 and Houston is at 9-13 (vs. the other seven in the west including themselves.) Should the suns make it too, then we would have a better record vs. the suns than Utah would which would boost our playoff record better than Utah and therefore given us the tie-breaker.

    But let the games begin.

got to go with the jazz because the rockets haven't secured the 8th spot yet, why look ahead to the 7th spot.

Yeah, the Jazz have got to take this one. Lets secure our playoff spot first before looking to move up in the standings.

Jazz owns the tie-breaker over the Rockets. Even if the Rockets beat the Jazz in their final matchup later this season, then the tie-breaker would go to the team with the best record versus playoff teams, which would be the Jazz.

Therefore, it is not likely that the Rockets will pass the Jazz.

Rockets should be rooting for Utah to win tonight.

The tie-breaker goes to the team with a better record within the conference. As of now, it is the Jazz, but that could easily change.

    for Jazz.
I am not sure but I tink the Jazz has the tree hardest game left in the end of the season. So if The Rockets are two games behind them and win all 3 of their games then they should be able o pass the jazz

Pheonix lost. But we won't be tied for long.

Rockets will go on a 7 game losing streak....

    already 0-2.
