Can anyone tell me if their is going to be a draft party at that theater downtown like they had last year? They gave away some nice prizes and some of the Rockets players and Rockets power dancers were also present. I got my hat signed my Moochie Norris. We also got a chance to watch the draft live on the big screen. I hope they do so I can take off early and attend. ------------------ Rockets Season Ticket Holder

Hey, the most fun draft party is the one right here on the chatroom at cc.net ------------------ blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
It's even more special because I am here. ------------------ Rarely is the question asked: Guns kill squirrels than REDRUM to fools across the nation?
I went last year and I thought it was pretty lame. Of course, if we had drafted someone else I might have enjoyed it more. And how many people were there? Two, maybe three hundred. The Chron reported something like 2,000. Can truss 'em. ------------------ I'd rather be MC Hammer than Nine Inch Nails
Why go to some event so you can see another jason collier being selected? If I remember correctly, you were one of Collier's biggest fans in the first month of the season. How can you fault him for playing poorly when he was hurt? He was never healthy except for that first month of the season, so how can you turn against him? All I care about is the Rockets doing good in this draft, and if it's anything like last year's, I'll be thrilled. The only way you can judge how good you are is to compare you to your peers. The Lakers are the champions because they were better than their peers. Now tell me, what team last year at pick 9 or later had a better draft than the Rockets? And for the record, Collier and a first rounder in this year's deep draft is imho a lot more valuable than Desmond Mason, Morris Peterson, etc. The only team you could make a case for is the Kings with Turkoglu, but even that's debatable. ------------------ "Basketball players win basketball games. yeah i went last year.. ------------------ Shane "Save Our Rockets" "Life without basketball in Houston........without an arena that is what it will be"
The Rockets haven't scheduled anything for this year's draft. Besides, they have no venue. The Comets will be making up games at the Laptop now until the end of time, and the Aerial/Bayou Place won't be back up to speed from the floods... ------------------
lol! Oops I forgot you loved him. ------------------ "Break off the block like Maurice Green" --- Steve Francis President of the Moochie Norris fan club.
Cat I disagree. You know yourself Mo Pete would have helped the Rockets out far more than Jason Collier. Look how he helped out in the playoffs against NY. He had 21pts in the game he started at the 3spot along with 3stls. ------------------ President of the Steve Francis, Jamal Crawford,Larry Hughes, and Charles Woodson fan club.
Everyone went to the party hoping for DerMarr Johnson but when the Hawks "hated" that just ruined the whole thing. This year alot of people are hoping for Richard Jefferson or Joe Johnson. ------------------ President of the Steve Francis, Jamal Crawford,Larry Hughes, and Charles Woodson fan club.
