Rocket Championship Party on the Richmond strip or Downtown?

    I remember partying on the Richmond strip during the back to back years. However, with the new Arena being built downtown, and more of the Houston Nightlife shifting there as well, Will the Rockets Championship still be celebrated down the Richmond strip or do you think it will move to Downtown? That is of course if the Rockets win the Championship. :)

    Thoughts?

    No thats when......... It depends on if the new arena is still being built or if they win it in Mings 1st year...Richmond if Yao's 1st year Downtown in in 2nd year :D

    With all due respect to Richmond, that was all about cars and traffic. Nothing can beat sidewalks and pedestrians. Downtown is the place.

    Richmond died, unless you want to visit the nudy bars, the restaurants, or be in a gang fight.

    Downtown partying will be the thing going on WHEN the Rocks win the Championship!!!!!!!

    I agree with Kim...Richmond is over.

    I just hope when we do another championship, we dont pull a Detroit/LA/Chicago and riot. It was really peaceful last time.

    OK, I think Yao is going to be great, we have a great team, a possible championship looms, but come on man. Don't you think this thread is a little presumptuous?
