oh thats great to hear downloadable tracks transfer over I've spent probably over 60-70 bucks on downloaded tracks and i think most of the songs my friends and I play are the downloaded tracks now. I will pick this one up then. i wonder what tracks will be on it.
The one thing that i dont like about rock band is that you cant start a band over the internet. my friend has it and we want to play career mode and we cant! that sucks i mean thats the equivalent of playing a campaign mode online with friends, that should be a basic requirement for all games now.
Great to hear the DLC AND the existing instruments for Rock Band will be compatible with Rock Band 2. That makes this game a probable buy for me. Not interested in buying any more plastic instruments (although, if the drums are really THAT improved ...I might entertain the idea of replacing the existing drum set with a new one).

Are you talking about online play? Because I never noticed a delay during regular, single player mode.
Do you have your system hooked up to surround sound? That causes a noticeable lag for many people, especially if you play with the vocal track turned way down or off and rely entirely on your own voice input.
Poor DaDa. I guess we shouldn't talk about the money Harmonix is making off this series. EA and MTV as well, I guess they could use an extra few dollars where they can find it.

Nah, all my sound comes from the TV. I just hope they can tweak the code so that the vocal communication is so non-laggy that if you want to hear a person singing vocals online, the words don't come out a full second after they sing them. It can be really disconcerting when playing online with someone and they start holding down the bumper so you can hear them sing, but the timing is all off.
Crap, it hasn't even been a year since the last release...My kids will have to wait until our original one craps out......
