http://www.nba.com/summerleague2008/summer_league_selection_poll.html I know its not going to decide if he gets on the team or not.. but hey it's worth a shot. lol.
This has some oddly obvious malicious intent against some other guy on the team whose name rhymes with Lead.
Thats the main reason. Coach K probably wants his players to work on fast breaks and they need a turnover machine in the other team to achieve that.
Seriously, the Head hate has gone way overboard. Every summer, y'all do this to one of the players. Is Head adequate for the Rockets right now? Maybe not, especially if he can't get over his playoff jitters. But he's not this horrible player that you are making him out to be.
I hope you guys don't flame me for this ......but...I voted for Jerryd Bayless. The guy's a stud and will be a star in this league. But Donte also deserves a bid.
I voted for Love. Donte has the shots, he needs to redeem himself in tonight's game. Bayless won't be taking so many FT in the real NBA; his stat is quite inflated. He will be a NBA grade combo guard. Love is just a stud; I think he will be the best player out of the draft this year. I am really impressed with Marreese Speights also. On the other hand, George Hill seems like a huge bust. Poor Spurs.
You think Bayless's stats are inflated but Love's stats are not? Bayless is already athletically superior to even these summer camp fodders while Love is still reliant on his strength, girth, and IQ. The only edge he will carry over to the real NBA is his hustle and instincts. He is also clearly struggling on defense, if you even care enough to read the scouting reports.
I voted for Donte, but then turned back time and voted for Love aswell. USA needs big dudes to practice with to prepare for the other countries. With only 3 guys who are inside on D in the team, inside play will be a worry for USA. But i can also see LeBron DEMO'n guys as a 4 in the Olympics. I mean he's a wing player in the L, but he's bigger, stronger and faster than pretty much any other PF in Olympic play.. USA v AUSTRALIA in the gold medal game!!! yeah... (i can dream...)
Agreed, I thought Head was adequate his first two years, this year he had a hard time adjusting to a new system. He seems to work hard in the off season and several people on this board when he was doing well compared him to Ben Gordan, Arenas, etc. How soon we forget. Don't make him the total failure for us losing in the first round.
