http://music.aol.com/network_live/concert_videos/rock_in_rio/live Rock in Rio, the world's biggest music festival, will take place over two weekends on May 26-27 and June 2-4, 2006, in Lisbon, Portugal and will feature electrifying live performances by some of the biggest names in music. 11 artists will headline at Rock in Rio, including: 26 May: Jamiroquai, Shakira 27 May: The Darkness, Guns N' Roses 2 June: Carlos Santana, Roger Waters 3 June: Kasabian, Red Hot Chili Peppers 4 June: Corinne Bailey Rae, Anastacia, Sting In 2006, Rock in Rio returns to Lisbon, the site of the 2004 festival. "The Bela Vista Park in Lisbon, due to its natural sloping terrain, is the ideal place for this great family party which is Rock in Rio," explains Roberto Medina, founder of the festival. Since its inception in 1985 through its most recent edition in 2004, Rock in Rio has brought us many unforgettable moments. In 2001, Queens of the Stone Age bassist Nick Oliveri performed naked. In 2004, a live microphone caught Britney Spears, America's Sweetheart, cursing backstage. Don't miss music history in the making, beginning May 26 at 7PM ET, only on Network LIVE!
I'd probably watch it, if there were any good bands playing. Jamiroquai - probably a pretty good show Shakira - lip syncing? The Darkness - passing fad Guns N' Roses - Axle is fat and bald Carlos Santana - good if he plays his old stuff Roger Waters - eh... Kasabian - never heard of them Red Hot Chili Peppers - a shadow of their former selves Corinne Bailey Rae - ????? Anastacia - lip syncing Sting - way past his prime
I've always respected your musical tastes ima, but you're being a f'n 'tard on this one. If you don't like GNR or Axl's music for whatever reason, don't dole it on his physical shape. Which, incidentally, is untrue. He's in fantastic shape currently.
can someone explain the time for me. it says Shakira 5/26 at 8:15 ET. so why is she on now? i just want to get teh times right so i don't miss GnR and RHCP.
I am guessing there is more than one stage, so as soon as the first band is finished they go to the other stage for the next act. That's the way it worked last night anyway.
i never listened to them, until now. not only do they suck, they blow too. another hour til GnR...it can't get here sooner.
Man, Justin Hawkins squeeling like a girl this entire show. He just doesn't have the range of someone that can hit those notes like a Geoff Tate.
he's not fat, or bald but thats about all i can say about him. the sound is kinda funny, his mic isn't loud enough.
welcome to the jungle, its so easy, mr brownstone, not sure (he said something about tax evasion), sweet child of mine, knockin on heavens door, live and let die. good setlist so far... does anyone think axl looks like the albino in constantine???
can't GnR go at least 2 songs in between solos, jeez. they haven't changed much. am i hearing this right? they're playing a Christina Aguilara tune???
