I'm thinking of getting one. There are a lot of choices out there, but spamblogs make an unbiased opinion hard to come by via google.

What do you have, and what do you think of it? I have dogs, so pet hair pickup is essential.

I had a Roomba, but it's more of a novelty item. It's good for light cleaning or if you live in a small apartment with wooden floors/tiles. Just don't expect it to replace an actual vacuum cleaner.

My grandma has a neato and she says it works very well. I haven't seen it though.

I had a roomba, it lasted about a year. It rarely worked well and you will still need to vacuum. I wouldn't waste your money

I had a Roomba and I really liked it. But I spent more time cleaning it than I expected. And even then I was fine with it. But it's battery went dead. I bought another one and that one died rather quickly too so I never got another one.
