My son and I are trekking over to Greenville, NC tomorrow to watch East Carolina University take on Central Florida University. The ECU Pirates' roster includes 6'8" Freshman Forward Robert Sampson-- son of the Rockets' very own Ralph. The opponent, Central Florida University, has some young guy Marcus (?) Jordan who has a famous father.... I'll look for Rocket scouts or Rudy T.
Marcus Jordan scored 24 and got to the line 14 times. Shot just under 50% from the floor. Good hustler. Robert Sampson did not start. He shot 1-2 from behind the arc. Got about 4 rebounds. 1 turnover. 1 steal. 3 PFs I think. Interestingly enough, though, he was on the floor in a lot of the crunch time. He seemed like he was in for defense whenever possible and they put in another ball handler as ECU was holding onto a 5-6 point lead in the last 2 minutes.
Is that a euphemism for knee injuries, or did someone take all the Ralph Sampson cocaine articles off of Google?
