I am getting chills. Robert Horry highlights are all over the place this week. You'd think he was Jordan or something with all the hype. Seriously."Uh oh, Robert Horry is the game." I am laughing my ass off. But I love it. I cannot think of another player who has been this hyped in a long time as absolute money in crunch time. The scary thing is San Antonio believes it. And even Scarier is that I think I believe it too.

I don't know about all that, but he's certainly a clutch shooter in the playoffs.

I actually only remember 2 big shots (vs. SA WCF in 1995 and vs. Sacramento in 2002). ARe there more?

he hit about 2 shots a series during the 95 playoff run. robert horry may not do much during the rest of the ball game but come the last 3 minutes the guy is as money as it gets.

    Longer than you sonny.

He was only here for 3 years & change - if there were more memorable huge shots aside from the one I cited that were similar to Kenny's 3 vs Orlando, Hakeems Tip, Mario's 3, etc then let me know. I don't remember anymore eventual game winner/game tyers than those though.

With the Lakers, off the top of my head:
    2002 versus Portland
    2002 versus Sacramento
    2001 versus Sixers

He averaged 17 and 10 versus Orlando in the 95 Finals, and hit that huge shot versus the Spurs. Robert Horry is a value-added player because he adds the commodities that a role player is valued for - he can throw it into the post or inbound with his size, his defense has always been above average, and he hits big shots at the end of games when you leave him open. There's a reason he has 5 rings.

Oh trust me, I'm not saying he wasn't great in 1995 or overall, I was just trying to remember more "big shots" - I don't recall the Portland & Sixers ones for whatever reasons.

it may have been game 3 against the magic but horry hit a huge 3 in the final 15 seconds off of a pass from dream to seal the win. i may have to go back and view my clutchcity tapes to verify this my memory isnt what it used to be.

it would be cool if he wanted to end his career here, i just wouldnt want him to "coast thru the season" and while i remeber him being money in the crunch, there were plenty of nights it looked like he didnt wanna be there, and i dont remember any big shots lately. yet if theres anythign in the tank, bring him back.
