    Let me clarify that I don't THINK whoever did it should be fired, but AP/other wire services are notoriously hardass over silly things like this. Pity. I wonder if it makes it until sunrise, I'm up finishing this column and will be keeping an eye on it ...

    AP/other wire services are notoriously hardass over silly things like this.

    Certainly a warrantable, even a firable, offense. It needs to be saved for sportstalk radio, Sportscenter and similar silly locales.

    Yeah -- if you're going to purposely not do your job (the Sunday games weren't televised, not a lot of us knew Horry hurt his tummy), at least be funny with it.
