I cannot believe this,I really thought he cleaned up after the last time, although thats the same thing I thought about Strawberry.I feel sorry for anyone who has such an addiction,I guess no one knows what drives a person to this severe depth of depression.Heres hoping he gets his act together.Nov. 27 — Actor Robert Downey Jr. was back behind bars Saturday night after he was arrested in Palm Springs, Calif., for drug possession. "Downey gained an early release from prison three months ago and had recently begun a recurring role in Fox television’s Ally McBeal. Palm Springs police received an anonymous call from the Merv Griffin resort. When they arrived, they said they found Downey alone in a room full of cocaine and methamphetamine." ------------------
He rich He famous He'll get a slap on the wrist and be back on the set in time to think he saw C. Flockhart actually eat something Rocket River ------------------
Somebody freaking ratted him out...that is what stinks. Granted, the guy has a drug problem but when your friends go ratting you out you know you are in hell. An anonymous tip? Give me a break! Somebody made up a hogwash story about guns and so forth at this hotel and of course the cops go ramming Downey's door in. I'm sure they had his door #. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if that hogwash story was made up or instantiated by the cops as an excuse to go to his room because they knew the chances he was up to no good were high. What gives? I agree...this guy has problems. But, jail time is not the answer. He cannot get the treatment he needs in jail and jail will not deter a drug addict. I could see this guy taking his life while on probation rather than go serve a huge ass jail sentence for possession. If you put his drug problem aside, he is a terrific actor and people still give him acting jobs(and good ones at that) because he is a talent. Now, the law and the cops think by throwing a possessor in jail for several years...this is the answer. They should be throwing the guy that sold him the drugs in the slammer...not the user. What are you gonna do...bust every casual user out there? You have to bust the dealers! You might as well throw half of America in prison right now with freaking teenagers leading the way for their high ecstasy usage. If you go to any rave nowadays, every kid is on ecstasy. Cops don't do crap about when they could bust the whole thing easily. Yet, they go out of their way to see to it that Mr. Downey Jr. is busted any time any where. Unbelievable. I can't help but think conspiracy. The cops over there love this...those bastards. This is worse than the OJ framing...LOL. Surf ------------------
The answer to all this is simple. Legalize drugs. The ban on them causes more pain and death than the drugs themselves do. So much violence comes from illegal drug sales. If drugs were legal, this would not happen. Oh well. It will never happen. ------------------ 2000-2001 Rockets Game Formulas: End of 1st quarter: "They're playing so well!" 2nd: "What a great game!" 3rd: "Theres no way they can lose now!" 4th: "What the ******* **** happened?!!" If you let Rob D out pleas make sure and let all the other 'Drug offenders' out too. I don't like make exceptions for those of 'special' talents He has gotten special treatment why give him more? Rocket River ------------------
Robert Downey Jr = Darryl Strawberry. At some point you stop feeling sorry for people. It is really hard not to think of these two as just plain despicable human beings. How in the world would legalizing drugs make things better on these two clowns? So they could go around COKED up “legally“ all day long? They would be even WORSE off if they had nothing to whatsoever to deter them from using drugs. The answer to Drugs is not legalization, that is the quitters way around the problem. ------------------
