Look out, Mel Gibson. Since 12/29, the Rockets have a gaudy road record of 10-3. On those games, we've been 6-1 against the East and 3-2 against the West. And we're not only winning the games against the weaker teams, we're snagging a few home games from stronger or middle-pack teams as well (Dallas, Minnesota, Cleveland, Orlando).

I 've always thought the mark of a good team is to take care of business on the road, regularly beating all but the elite teams -- and sneaking in an occasional win against them, too.

Now we're coming up on a stretch with 5 of 7 at home. With a little luck, we can be 10 games over .500 at the end of February.

Also, we are only one of 7 teams in the whole league with a winning home and away record.

what impresses me is our division record.

rockets are 7-3 in the southwest division, what many say is the best in basketball.

spurs are 5-3, dallas is 6-4, mem is 4-4, no is 0-8
