Does anyone know how to rip songs onto winamp? Been wanting to put some songs from my cds and putting in my winamp playlist.
You can always not use WinAmp. How is it any better than Windows Media 9 on XP? I mean, what is the advantage of even getting WinAmp in the first place?
I don't know about WinAmp (haven't used it in over a year), but when I tried to rip some songs onto my computer using WMP, there was a LOT of skipping. Thanks to whoever recommended CDex in the thread I started on this...I've already got over 6 hours of music on my computer up here, and I'm not even halfway through my CD collection...
Someone told me that itunes is pretty good for ripping songs...there is now a Windows version as well.
I use iTunes to rip music. It converts it into AAC format though, which is great for me because it takes up less space on my iPod then it being ripped as an mp3.
Re-post: Am I that hopelessly outmoded? I don't get the anti-Winamp posts I've been reading here today. I'm a bit of an audiophile, and I much prefer Winamp over the Windows Media Player. You get that 10-band EQ, it's a little quicker, and the crossfade feature is shweeet. Shoot me down, I'd love to try something new, and what am I missing by using Winamp?
