Ray Fosse was a full time catcher for 3 more seasons after that play and then played another 4 seasons after that.

By his own admission, Fossee said he could never hit quite right after that play.

But whatever, Pete Rose is Pete Rose. You love him, I don't quite so much. World takes all kinds.

I loved the way he played. I didn't know him personally. I’ve seen, read, and heard the same things you have.

The truth is he bet on games his entire career. SI broke the story. Then baseball covered it up like they have always done.

I'm sorry, but in no world is the MLB hit king, who's record most likely will never be broken overrated and I didn't like Rose because he played for the Reds. He played the game the right way.

I voted no. I’m one of four so far.

You can cheat to try to win a game in baseball and you’re good with me. But when you’re managing a team and you place a personal bet.,,with your own money…for you personally to win or lose…sorry you’re out.

It’s why I’m concerned about the espn love affair with betting. If you turn this **** into pro wrasslin you kill the product. That’s the one unforgivable rule to me. Cheating to get an edge to win the game, I don’t care much in baseball. Baseball is a game of cheaters. Guys trying to get an edge to win. That I get.

But cheating to try to win and cheating to try to make some cash when you’re a part of the game you’re betting on are two very different things to me. Goes to the very credibility of the game. He doesn’t belong in the HOF despite being an amazing player.

You keep your damn hands off Bill Doran (whose jersey I’ll be wearing tomorrow for Game 1)

It was Fosse's left shoulder that got wrecked. Didn't hurt his defense, but he said it pretty much ruined him at the plate.

He wouldn’t be making the hall as a manager. But I’m not gonna argue about it.

Also, like Buck said, he was only great until he was 38. Lol

I’m certain we aren’t gonna convince one another and honestly I care way less about Pete Rose than I do that our team has a playoff game tomorrow, and I know we agree on how we want that to end.

Didn't baseball suspend a minor league player this year for life for betting on games? Don't think he is going to make it in.
