One of my favorite players of all time... also a very good broadcaster. One thing about Morgan... great teams seemed to follow him around. https://www.nj.com/yankees/2020/10/hall-of-fame-second-baseman-joe-morgan-dead-at-77.html
This one hurts.. A legendary player and one of the all time greats. He also started on the Colt .45's and is honored in Minute Maid Park. The Stros should dedicate today or tomorrow's game to him and it would be nice to see them wear a patch or something for him on their uniforms.
I had the pleasure to meet Joe Morgan at the last game in the Astrodome. He was such a gentleman and student of the game. I will never forget having met one of the all time great players and men in MLB. RIP Joe Morgan
Back when I was a kid, I used to love watching old clips of him powering up the swing with that elbow twitch. lol. He seemed like a good man. R.I.P.
RIP i think that he grew up in Oakland, CA. the Colt45 drafted him out of the same high school that NBA's Gary Peyton had attended.
