Christopher Reeve's widow died of lung cancer late Monday night.

Heard it on Imus in the Morning. His entire studio was stunned. They were almost at a loss for words. Miserable cruel end for that wonderful woman...

First Puckett, then Reeve, who's the third?

I think the "death comes in threes" rule only applies to celebrities, not celebrity spouses...

That's a shame. People could learn a lot about being selfless from this woman. How many other people in her situation would have just bolted? Sadly, probably the majority.

BTW, how do you get lung cancer if you're not a smoker?

It happens. That's how Andy Kaufman died and he never smoked(except as Tony Clifton).

I heard that on the radio this morning. That's really sad for the whole Reeves family to have to go through two tragedies like this and only a few years apart.

She could've been taking prescription drugs with very harmful side-effects.

    Lots of stress

Poor diet / Lack of exercise

Combination of any of the 3 things listed above.

RIP Dana. She was a great person. 44 is way too young to go.

    BTW, Wasn't Kirby 44 too?!

If I were a celeb and 44 years old, I'd be very scared now.

Have more faith in people...I think more than you know would have stayed. That said, you have to commend her for doing it....tough loss for that family. RIP.

That's just terrible. I always had a profound respect for how she handled herself as a person. I hope she and her husband are together again. I remember seeing her on Larry King when she was diagnosed. That seemed like only last year and she was very optimistic. That family has been through hell.
