    ...the rockets select Mirsad Turcan...

I actually expected the rockets to try and get him in the 2nd rd. I prayed the rockets wouldn't draft Drew along with a couple others. I had heard once of Mobley, but not in connection with the rockets or the nba draft. I knew the rockets were interested in Dickerson. I was positive Rashard Lewis would be picked with the 2nd or 3rd 1st rd selections of the rockets.

He was pissed. I would be too. He is a free agent this coming year. I know the rockets are thin on money, but a sign and trade for him would help the rockets. He's good, but unproven. I don't know if he would sign though.

What would he add to the team other than another forward? Who's he going to beat out? And who do we trade for him?

He would add athletism to the forward position. Can do more than just dunk or shoot the three. Not an immediate impact is his only problem. Rashard is potentially a great player.

He will beat out TMass, Walt, Maloney, Mack.

He is a free agent in the offseason. The rockets have T washington and V Hamilton. Maybe the Orlando pick. Drew if the rockets draft a PG. He has no Bird rights.

Well, my point is he wouldn't improve us in any definite way. Carlos Rogers and Shandon (when playing the 3) are better right now. If we go after a small forward, it needs to be a better SF than what we have now. In my opinion we need a PF more than a SF. Rashard has great talent, but he hasn't shown it yet.

I'm always of the opinion that a trade should address a need. I don't like trading for the sake of adding athleticism because there are tons of "athletes" out there that don't have game.

Players coming out of high school usualy take awhile to get accustomed to playing pro, look at Garnett, McGrady, Kemp, Dawkins. These players need some time and Pt thats all, a FA signing of the kid would not be that costly or difficult, I would be all for signing the kid.

Rashard does score when he gets time ... But this guy will leave seattle and trust me he will show his talent..

He was really mad about the rockets not picking him...
