    If Dwight had been healthy the entire season, a trade might have happened already. But despite his broken relationship with D'Antoni, Pau is now an insurance policy (unless the Lakers are willing to give up on the playoffs).

    Are the Lakers willing to pay $40M for Pau Gasol this season with the hope that they can cash in next season?

    I feel like over the next two weeks if it becomes glaringly obvious they aren't going to make the play-offs and their odds are approaching mathematical zero they'll trade him or amnesty. Imo Kupchak has been working the phones for a few weeks now.

    What team would be willing to trade for him in the off-season?

    at least Gasol would be more appreciated there... Dantoni did a hell of a job to alienate Gasol there.
