Plenty of dynamite on this team as is. We need less explosives, more defense.

Mayo is actually pretty decent defensively.

I'd love him on the Pacers. He's from Indiana too. Maybe the Mavs would take back Mahinmi in a trade? Oh well..

I suspect he ends up on the Pistons. It will be Ben Gordon 2.0. They have the cap space and they could always use another shooter next to those bigs.

Carlisle didn’t single out Mayo when he talked about the daunting experience of young Mavs who have had the “opportunity to sit at the grown-ups’ table this year and see what it’s like to have more responsibility.” It was clear, though, that Mayo was the prime example.

“Look, he’s not the only guy that stunk tonight,” Carlisle said. “I stunk, too. I’ll readily admit that, and I’ve been admitting it all year. But I’m passionate about not wanting to stink.

mchale could learn something from this guy

As far as talking and keeping the players engaged, I feel much better about McHale. Carlisle is a brilliant basketball mind but he's lost teams before. I'm not at all surprised that they have those type of problems with younger players.

Stay clear away from Mayo imo...Daryl...

Carlisle is a solid Head coach...and i dont think he has ever ripped on a player for effort...he must ve gotten really irked...

He would be perfect playing PG next to Harden.

He sucks. He's got absolutely horrible shot selection and decision making, and has almost no feel for the game at all.

45% from the field and 41% from 3 for 15 PPG + 4.4 APG = no feel for the game at all?
