He has consistently shown an inability to make adjustments. Lowry has been completely outplaying Brooks lately, yet he stubbornly sticks with Brooks. Morey suggested that Lowry should be starting when the trade was made and it's starting to show exactly what was meant by that statement. Adelman's persistent stubbornness throughout the season is going to cost the Rockets HCA and lead to another first round exit.
Idiotic loyalty. This isn't the only major problem I have with Adelman. Some others: He let's the refs walk all over Yao. His rotations are atrocious and nonreactive. For such a so-called "offensive guru" he runs a completely predictable offense without any quirks He lets players make boneheaded mistakes without disciplining them
Adelman made the key substitution of Wafer for Scola and, presto, a 17-2 run. I've had problems with Adelman's decisions but he hit a grand slam in the 3rd quarter.
Ron keeps jacking the ball up and Rick Adelman went w a pick and roll w AB driving in to get blocked by the rim instead of posting up Yao!! WTF
I don't know why people are blaming Adelman on that pick and roll play with Brooks and Yao. It worked against Phoenix and everyone was praising it and saying that should be our bread and butter for future games. So Adelman does it, Brooks doesn't execute and here comes the criticism of Rick Adelman.
I think Adelmen is a great strategist, but yes I agree imo he is too slow at making adjustments when the game plan is going array.
Rick is not a moron, he just believed in brooks who failed him eventually. I donot see any future with Rick adelman as the coach
I must agree with this! Is Brooks son of RA? Why he keeps let him do that? I don't like brooks, just look at the face when Yao tell him how to pass the ball last game with a mac book. He probably think it's the most boring thing in the world!
Unless you think Duncan is just as bad of a pick n roll defender as Shaq. I don't know how it could have been a good play.
Pleae, cut the crap guys. I always find it silly when fans thinks they know more then the coach, there's a reason why Adelman is a nba-coach and makes his living by coaching while we guys are watching the game on tv....
You call that pick and roll? I didn't see that roll, or at least Brooks think it's just a pick by Yao.
