He was just waived by the Wolves. Should the Rockets bring him in to give him a look? He hasn't played since Feb. 10 so I don't what kind of shape he is in. He can really shoot the ball is and has some size for a shooting guard. If he does good this year, the Rockets could bring him back next year. His stats this year weren't that good but trust me he could nail down a open jumper something nobody on this team can do.

If we sign him, can he go to playoff? Although that's not really a big issue even if he can't.

He can't be in the playoff roster since he wasn't a free agent on March 1.

If we get Frahm, we should cut Rybo. Essentially they are the same hustle players, except that Frahm can hit the broad side of a barn and Rybo.....is tall?

rikesh316, what's the point of bringing him in? All of a sudden, our team feels like the NBDL. Just taking in waived players and giving them a chance. :(

Better to give playing time to a younger guy than a old veteran with no future with the team.

The real question is: If we don't bring in a shooter, can the TEAM go to the playoffs?

And an even bigger question is: If we DO bring in a shooter, can the team go to the playoffs?

Also, will the Rockets go winless in their division? That'd be cool in a pathetic way.

I see no point in bringing in Frahm. He doesn't help you nearly enough, if at all. Better off pulling a Reggie Bush tank-job.

Frahm is a great shooter, takes the ball to the hole hard, and hustles. If he is the best shooter available, I would pick him up. Seems like a guy that Van Gundy would like. Sign him to a 10-day contract, he may play his head off and stick as Chuck Hayes did, but then he might get into VG's doghouse for no apparent reason also...

Say we dont bring him in and give him a chance to make the team, what will that do?

Essentially this is a low risk move. I say give it a shot, Barry was in a similar situation last year when they brought him to play and looked what happened after that.

Not saying that Richie Frahm is as good as Barry, but if he can knock down that open jumper that so many of the current Rox have been consistently clanking - Why Not??

True enough, but whose minutes would he be taking away, in order to get on the floor in the first place, so he can hit those shots?

Do you take away Bogans? Head? He's not a pg, so you wouldn't take them from Brunson or Alston..

Our problems are more defensively than offensively, although not hitting open looks is bad too.. but too may times we have just let guys waltz right to the hoop in crucnh time of a close game.

What we really need is a mad-dog rebounder, defender and shot-blocker.

Errr bzzzzzt. Bogans is starting at SF. His backup is Ryan Bowen. Luther Head is the only true shooting guard we have now that Wesley's injured. You must be smoking something if you really think we're going to have trouble finding minutes for Richie. And wrong -- what we need is a shooter. We at least have bodies at PF and C. We have a solo 6 foot body at SG. Wonder why we can't hit open shots?

Since when does shooting 37% from the field qualify you as a "great shooter"?

Hell, we've got a few great shooters on the Rockets right now.

And this great shooter was cut inexplicably by a team with a worse record than the Rockets. Obviously a sign the T-wolves have given up, not just on the season, but on the future of their franchise.

I give any player in the league that has had a repution as a shooter a chance with the rockets, regardless of their current shooting percentage. I can honestly say other than David Wesley, no other current player on the rockets roster has been deemed a "good shooter" in the league.

There is a lot more to shooting percentages than meets the eye. When he comes in and misses wide open shots like the ones our rox players have been getting then I will say he is not as good a shooter as his college reputation made him seem. Until that happens, I will be looking forward to the rockets picking up a guy and giving him some time to play and give yao some spacing. Cuz all I know is that if we would have hit some wide open shots these last couple of games, we would not have had this problem.
