Maybe we should let the RIAA take over Iraq, they may do better fighting the insurgency.

I still use Kazaa Resurrection to find files that I can't on my pay program.

Cool, now maybe Lars will stop pacing back and forth on my doorstep waiting for payment from that copy of 'Ride The Lightning' I downloaded back in 2003.

My girlfriend works abroad and she occasonally attends these iPod parties. People bring there ipods/ibooks and just swap ungodly amounts of music. Then she uses PodUtil to download them back onto her harddrive. Songs bought on iTunes are converted to mp3's so no password are needed.

Downloading music illegally isn't that bad. I have actually discovered some artists that I would have never even heard of if it wasn't for the internet. I became fans of theirs. I still don't buy their music but at least they got a new fan. :D

I just moved to Austin. It is IMPERATIVE that R2K avoids the law with his video distribution scheme.

When I pull the occasional file off of Soulseek or Shareaza, there are 4 or 5 million people logged on. I feel like one of those little herring in the middle of the giant school, the odds of getting picked off are really slim, especially when I see people with 10,000 files that stay logged on 24/7.

I think the RIAA is using the Viet Nam strategy where you just declare victory and go home in the face of an unwinnable situation.

    These networks aren't anonymous.

The RIAA is a big shark. Just remember to swim with the pack....

True, I'm only on when I'm looking for something. I share some more esoteric files that I would like people to hear but not any popular music that the RIAA might be looking to defend (they are not looking for Hippie Gumbo or Dread Zepplin files)
