I am going to interview with reynolds today. Anyone have any info on this company. They were at a career fair so I am hoping its not one of them employment scans. They are making me take a math/logic assessment pre-employment exam. Do you know anyone who works for them, or have applied. any info..good or bad will help. thanks.
There's something called the internet...and if enter a name into a search engine (google.com) a company website comes up with all the info. you need...
They were recently bought out by another company called UCS. UCS sucked the life out of me for 2 years after I graduated from college. If you are working at an Northwest Houston office, you will probably work for the same people that I did. Depending on what job you are applying for, you may find the job rewarding, but I personally do not recommend the company. I did not like the pay, and I definitely did not like the culture of my department. I remember taking that exam, it's really nothing to worry about. Let me know if you have specific questions.
They are a legit company. They create software packages for automotive companies throughout the US. Big time recruiters at Texas A&M. However, I have heard that they work their new employees to the bone. Lots of turnover at the lower level, but if you can stick it out, supposedly they have good benefits at the top.
They feed off students and recent graduates. Low pay for lots of work. They use you. They want the turnover.
If you don't have a job, then I see no reason not to work there to pay your bills, pad your resume and get some experience. However, be on the lookout for opportunities outside the company, and don't plan on staying for there for the long term.
I went to their (UCS) "invitation only" job fair when I first got out of college. It was a total cattle-call, but the free food was good...
i found this other forum where people basically say the recruitment process is a total joke . they wont hire you if you smoke.
I had a interview with them about an interview. I went through a phone interview than went to take the test. Wasnt feeling to good so I basically just said screw it and just clicked randomly. There were like 30 people in there the test. I think they start off at 40? They deal with car dealerships not sure exactly what they do. What other jobs you looking at?
so did they call you back or what? well im a colleg grade with no significant work experience unless you count all the part time jobs i had while in high school and college. didnt get a chance to do an internship and i majored psych. my search is limited. the new outlets mall won't even hire because apparently im way over qualified.
I worked for UCS for 1.5 years and can confirm what everyone else is saying. Back then they moved corporate to College Station but still maintain an office off 290/Hollister. Their primary business is selling/install/etc... software for auto dealerships. They bought R&R last year. I thought pay was low compared to similar software/it companies. they do work you hard but are very loyal. they are privately owned. Used to be they favored ex military quite heavily when hiring. Thus top managment are almost all ex military, some non-degreed. Not sure about recruiting approach now. I thought some wierder policies were no smokers and must wear dark suits at corporate. Even low level data entry/clerk must wear dark suit. Yes it must be dark.
Not surprised at all to hear this. They actually showed interest in me & my big, bad communications degree. That's a red flag in my book. If there's one thing i've learned in this misery known as post-college job searching is anybody that has shown interest in me is no good.
Oh no I didnt go past that. Get an entry level sales job they will take any major outside of pharm.sales. I did it for a year. (which is a long time for the job I had) Made some money there, now having "cold calling" on my resume gets me a lot of interviews for jobs that I couldnt get a year ago. Took a offer for one today but it doesnt start until the 12th . And its inside sales cant wait
