How about get a freakin call!!!

Boki was set and a charge have been called on Wallace. It was just such an unbelievable leap that it mystified the refs.

I don't know if you call kicking someone in the head while you fly over him a charge. ;)

Next time he needs to jump up to atleast get in the way.. He's not gonna block it, but atleast he wont get posterized. That or a really dirty hard foul will do the trick.

    What about kissing someone's kneecaps???

Originally, I thought it was a charge also, but after watching the replay over and over again, Boki was still sliding over when Wallace took off. Hard to argue with the call.

I don't think there is anything that Boki or anyone else could do about that. Wallace's head was practically above the rim. The only thing he might could do, would be to get out of his way. :D

I don't understand why this dunk is so cool? Sure, he jumped really high, but can't a lot of people do that now? There was no windmill, no spin, no twist, no creativity.

I think its where he took off from, which was just inside the FT line (about a foot or so). It looked like he was hanging in the air forever. Very graceful looking.

That picture that CLF posted doesn't even do it justice. In the photo, he was already on his way down. ;)

Id love to see a wide angle photo of Wallace at his apex.

Maybe R2K can do a video capture for us.

Atleast Wallace was nice enough to turn sidewides and not "teabag" boki.

He jumped really high and from just inside the FT line.
Not a lot of people can do that, especially in a game, with a man in front of you, and he jumped over a 6'9 guy. All of that made it so special.
Poor Boki will be remembered for that play more than anything he does!

Personally I thought it should have been a charge because the replayed showed boki was outside the zone when he got hit but boki did shuffle a bit and it was just way too out of the ordinary that the refs probably weren't even looking at boki's feet. It was pretty cool. Poor boki :(. But at least he's looking a bit more solid after each game :)

That was an awesome dunk. I don't think McGrady can do that dunk...not Kobe, nobody else. Only Vince and Wallace and leap like that. It was impressive cuz he hangs in the air...liike Michael Jordan did with that air dunk. But Jordan did it in a dunk contest. This one is special cuz it was doing during a game and he got a player in front of him.

I can't really watch that link, but just inside the free throw line? If I remember it was definitely outside the circle but not just inside the free throw line - though I could be wrong.

The other thing is that it was most likely, technically a charge. He didn't so much as jump over Boki as through him - there as contact, Boki was outside the circle and planted, should have been a charge.

And the final thing is, I do think McGrady, Kobe, Vince could do that. But even beyond that, those are just superstar players. There are pleny of athletes out there - not all in the NBA and not all necessarily playing. Wallace is still, in my opinion, a scrub. Dunking over Boki doesn't make him great. Put up a double doulbe consistently in the regular season (which he should eventually be able to do), and then you will get more props.

I'm sorry, it was cool, but not that cool. So he can jump really high. If you want to make it all about the athelticism, add some creativity, throw it off the backboard and jump over somebody from just inside the free throw line and dunk it.

Again, best dunk of the game - yes. Best dunk of the preseason - yes. Great dunk of the ages - NO.

You better check that again! I would say he was a good 3 ft inside the line. Nice exaggeration though.

Reguardless, the dunk was still pretty amazing. On top of posterizing Boki the guy had something like 15 rebounds. A gross number of 7 were offensive. Filthy. That would be a nice 2 guard to have.
