This is the time of year that I always look forward to. The race to the playoffs, the excitement, the time where the big time players really step up their game. But this year, I'm forced to watch the old Rockets teams of 1994-1995 to get that vibe. So I started watching Game 1 of the Rockets Spurs Western Conference Finals from 1995. I relived those magic moments of Hakeem destroying Robinson, then I relived one of the most sensational dunks ever thrown down by a Rockets player--the nasty slam from Clyde Drexler right over Sean Elliot in the 3d quarter. Well here's the link of the clip: http://media.putfile.com/Drexler-Jam Enjoy and Go Rockets!
Funny, I am actually listening to Elliott right now as he is commentating for the Spurs/Sonics game. Dude got punked by Clyde the Glide. However, I am afraid that Elliott has Drexler beat in the comentating department.
Most Sensational = http://youtube.com/watch?v=AKOCy9R-h2A&search=Shawn Bradley *Sorry for people who don't recognize, thats our team last year* hehe Man i was literally jumping off the walls after that dunk
T-Mac on Bradley was spectacular. I hope he will be able to do it many, many times for us in the future.
the drexler clip draws up fond memories of good days..... the tmac clip draws up an oiler-esque 32-3 halftime lead type playoff choke....
You guys have prolly seen these , but I just like watching this clip cause I remember watching it Live. http://www.nba.com/0001Video/johnson_e_buzzer_052597.avi Not from '95 but Its a good memory.
I've seen that before and really wish the quality were better, but I watched it about a dozen times anyway
Anyone remember the Akeem block on Kevin Jhonson?.. KJ was all by himself heading for a fast break dunk, and then hakkem tracked him down from half court and blocked his shot from behind. the best individual defensive play i have EVER SEEN.. how i miss Olajuwon!
I remember that. Hakeem closed ground so fast. He seemed to come out of nowhere. That was such an awesome play!
