Rhad, I vehemently disagreed with the guy in life and think he made some stupid and moronic comments but I think we should show some sympathy to his passing.
horrible comments to be sure. i doubt many of you feel as negatively about him as i do. i believe he hijacked Jesus for political purposes. that he twisted a beautiful story into the kind of religion the story warns against. but i think one day before raking him over the coals after he dies is probably ok, too.
Don't know that much about him except what was reported or said about him. Never even heard him preach. I hope he finds himself in God's grace... whatever his sins were.
Once Pat Robertson dies, we'll see if American Christianity was hijacked by these fundamentalists with who the masses choose as their replacements.
