would the Rockets be interested at this point? http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3153715 From what I gather, he played well in LA, but seems they might want to develop Al Thorton.
dude Patterson is freakin' SICK!! this is a gift thrown into our hands.. Morey better pick this guy up, he would be a great addition to the Rockets and he might just be the answer we are looking for..
"Patterson and Tim Thomas led a 16-5 run that put the Clippers ahead for good" _____ For some reason I found this mildly amusing.
No he's not. He plays with far more fire and plays much better defense. He cant shoot particularly well, but he can get to the ft, which is something we need. More athleticism, and someone who can get to the bucket that can help pressure the D as well as D up on the opponent. In a sense he and Wells both can post up smaller guards (Reuben even eats Kobe up in the post), but that's as far as that comparison goes.
Yeah I like how he can get to the FT line on a consistent basis. Shame he doesn't make them when he's there. I am surprised they waived him, didn't he start for most of the games? You can develop the young guys but why waive "kobe stopper".
He plays great defense and isn't afraid to beat up on opposing guards and forwards but unless he shoots 40%+ from the 3 point line we don't need him.
Dave_78 points are good.Another thing is that how will he fit in the team with Bonzi playing in the post and with Shane Battier? Ruben has some game left in him but I don't think the Rockets will sign him up.
verstility > redundancy. we already have a player like that. i'd rather the rockets ad a player who brings new skills to the team.
