Result of Off Court/On Court Chemisty with Abundance of New Players

    With our new players
    Martin
    Hill
    Jeffries
    Armstrong

Is it possible that our chemistry on and off the court could be negatively effected ?

I'm not familiar with the new players except Martin who I have only heard positive things about, but I'm not familiar with the other three (Hill/Jeffries/Armstrong)

Previously before we made this trade our locker room chemistry seemed fine for the most part and the team appeared to play 100% on a nightly basis on the court.

These players are coming from teams that have had issues with performance on the court and at times issues within the locker room.

I'm just worried that when players come to Houston from certain teams they don't realize the amount of hustle that our team must play with to succeed and are at times surprised and not willing to commit as much as others.

I think we saw evidence of this earlier in the season with Ariza when it appeared that he had been somewhat secluded from the rest of the team and had his pouting moments while still adjusting.

These players need to know that whatever you did on your previous team doesn't matter. Drop everything and adapt to how the Rockets work and play your role.

This could be a crucial time for Battier and our other veterans to lay down the law.

Chemistry will definately improve. The last month or 2, everyone knew a trade was coming, but no one knew who was going to be traded. Many players felt they weren't wanted or weren't good enough.

If anything, players will be relaxed and glad to have the new guys aboard, along with the incoming players being excited as going to a contender.

I want to kiss Morey BTW, YES HOMO.

    I'm not sure about Jeffries.

Hill is a hard worker. I doubt he'll cause problems.

    Martin is a good guy.

Armstrong is supposed to be a really nice guy, so he won't cause any problems either.

Armstrong is a soft spoken guy who went through a good program at Connecticut. Never heard of any issues with him.

Jordan Hill also went through a solid program at Arizona, and seems pretty amicable. I've also read that he's a hard worker.

Jeffries is an energy guy who prides himself on defense. Guys with that type of mentality are generally not egoists who cause issues in the locker room...but that's just a guess.

Martin actually seems the most likely to cause chemistry issues down the line simply because he's the best of the bunch and will be demanding the most shots, taking on the most responsibility, etc. That's not to say that I believe Martin will cause problems, because I don't, but he does seem like the most likely of the bunch.

I heard that Jeffries was the hard worker, offensively challenged but a hard worker.

Martin is too, PLUS he is an offensive force, albeit defensively lacking.

Armstrong is supposed to be a poor man's Chandler Frye, ie he is long, athletic, but he is soft. Hill has all the talent in the world, but lacks a ton of experience playing the game, and currently lacks work ethic (rep as a partier).

I remember watching a rockets game this season when we were playing the knicks. My impression of Jar then is that he was a punk.

Hope that I'm wrong, and that he fits in.

Trevor Ariza will have the funk lifted off him when he realizes he doesn't have to attempt to carry the scoring load.

If not, we can trade HIS ass, too, during the off-season.*

    * Just kidding.+

    + Sorta.

I say we start Jeffries, Hayes, Battier, Hill, and Temple against the Nets and try for a 12-3 victory, just for the hell of it.

^ yet another good thing about this trade is that Ariza's game will significantly improve since Kevin Martin will relieve Ariza of his scoring duties.

When Martin steps on the floor with any of the current Rockets, he will be the best player on the floor. I think they know that. But, if they don't, they soon will.

    Ariza talk to Martin:
    Hi, Welcome.
I will carry Rockets like Jordon. You are my Pippen and I will make Jeffries become Rodman. XD

QFT. Best funny of the night!

Nobody has mentioned that Jordan Hill and Chase Budinger played together in college, so there should be some chemistry there.

Heard hill was the sensitive one

    ...jeffries was the bad boy

    ...Armstrong was the prince charming

...and Martin...oh wait are we describing a boy band or a bunch of men who should cooperate in the locker room?
