Harry Morgan passes away at age 96 M*A*S*H still ranks in my top 5 all time favorite shows. I still watch when I can, even though I've seen all 251 episodes multiple times. Colonel Potter is one of my favorite characters ever. Harry Morgan played him very well. He will be missed.
I grew up watching Colonel Potter. Watching MASH was a big part of my childhood and most of my adulthood. It was a show my father and I were connected by watching every week and well into syndication. I don't think Mr. Morgan would be offended by the title.
so true - id put him next to ralph farley replacing the ropers as far as 'replacement' characters who came in and made the show better. i cant believe that guy was still alive - i just assumed he died 20 years ago. when john wayne died did they report it as marion morrison? when tiny tim died did they report it as herbert khauryor? and god/allah/zoroaster forbid, when the great pee wee herman dies will they report it as paul reubens?
