I believe Insomniac visited a bunch of media yesterday to show off R2, and it seems like a bunch of sites (Gametrailers, 1UP/Gamevideos, IGN, etc.) have put up screens, videos, and/or previews for the game. Pretty big jump in graphics (IMO), although it seems like it still has a very large scale and solid framerate. I noticed a few graphical glitches in these few videos, but maybe this is an old build (regardless, not much time to fix it). Not a big deal either way though.
Can't get excited for this game for some reason It's missing that "edge" for me. Even KZ2 is more appealing to me, for whatever reason
I can't wait til this beast drops! The first was pretty addictive. I liked the crazy story and innovative weapons. Oct, I'll be buying this, LBP and either RB2 or GH World Tour.
I just got in Beta, 2.2gig download. Did anyone else get in? I'm downloading right now and almost finished. I can't wait to try it!!
From one console? So me and friends can split screen from 1 TV? Like in Warhawk? Is that the case? RC? Anybody? I lost a semester of college due to Resistance. I don't see myself getting hooked like that again.
yay, I got one today too, must be by pure chance(or they just had a lot of beta codes to give out) because I am way down the bottom of the list when it comes to doing stuff on PSN, I never get into the betas.
I just finished playing a few games of online co-op and it's freaking awesome. I was skeptical of purchasing this game because I didn't really like R1 that much but this game is a day one buy for me. Anyone else in beta that want to team up? A mic definitely helps when you need ammo/healing. Unfortunately I don't have a mic, so I just run up to my teammates and keep looking at them until they figure it out.
Yeah a mic is important for this. For a "demo", I was really impressed with the speed and look of everything. The first few times, I had difficulty connecting with games, but once I got connected it went great. Can't wait to see the finished product.
I guess no one wants to team up? Here is some quick impressions of the different classes. Soldier? Machine Gun, shotgun, grenades + some kind of force field. He's basically the tank of the group. Very easy to play, but very dependant on the other two. You'll easily run out of ammo or die if you don't have both of the other guys backing you up. Special Ops? Sniper Rifle?, forgot what the alternative weapon was, and supplies ammo the group. This is probably the most difficult class to play. You have to provide ammo to the entire group and snipe enemies alternatively. If you don't provide ammo, you don't get any either. Medic? Plasma weapon that attacks enemies (does chain damage) and heals allies. Has some kind of weird grenade that after you throw it, a bunch of spikes fly everywhere. I could figure out how to heal my allies. I assume I had to aim my weapon and shoot at them, but a lot of times it was too difficult with everyone running around like chickens w/o heads. What's cool about the medic is you don't run out of ammo. I would run around the groups of monsters and take them out solo one by one. The medics alternate weapon is a rifle. I never used it =X. I think the medic is the easiest out of the three to play because you don't need the other two to function and you have unlimited ammo. My first game, I pulled in the second most XP and most kills as a medic (ironic isn't it?)

I want to play Midnight Club LA and LittleBigPlanet and continue playing NBA2K9. With schedule I wouldn't be able to do that, looks like I'll have to wait(or stop playing 2K9)....although if I do wait Killzone 2 is around the corner so I am royally screwed either way. Good thing I'm for sure not getting Fallout 3 and Guitar Hero World Tour for myself.
This reminds me of a game I wanted to play but never got around to it after watching the trailer over and over again on ESPN. The trailer had some little girl walking around singing 'Ring Around the Rosie' and at the end some alien-robot like thing screams at her then it shows clips of the gameplay. Anybody remember what game I am talking about. After watching the trailers that RC posted, Resistance is one I want to play but will probably forget about doing so and will ask about it 6 months later.
