I can't seem to find it anywhere. I don't see why Beverley gets so much heat for bumping knees with someone and being aggressive during a live ball in the playoffs. The whistle did not blow. Players/coaches fake timeouts so it's not bush league unless it comes after the whistle. I digress, If Beverley barreled into Westbrook's knee the way TT did to Yao and ended his career then I would understand the flack he gets. Football players get suspended for tackling the knees. It's dangerous. But when a star player that's on the Thunder/Heat/Spurs/Lakers gets injured it's the end of the world and the media/players try to find anyone to blame. Kobe/ESPN wanted to blame Barnes for his ACL tear, but the evidence was clear. I just think it's an unfair label. It has already effected the officiating towards Beverley this year, especially in the last OKC game after doing nothing and got a tech when WB did everything and got away. Please post the video if you find it. Thanks.
Sorry for going off-topic, but did that actually happen? All I remember was Kobe recounting the events and saying that, after going down, he turned and asked Barnes if he had touched him, to which Barnes responded negatively, which made Kobe realize that it was his achilles' tendon. Never did I see anyone try to blame Barnes.
IIRC, I don't think Thomas barrelled into Yao's knee intentionally. He was off-balance. Just a freak accident. Also the whistle did blow in Beverley's case.
you're right . here's the article. http://sportsgoggles.wordpress.com/...-rockets-playoff-hopes-take-a-tim-thomas-hit/
I remember watching replays closely and left with the impression that either the whistle had NOT blown yet or it had JUST blown when Bev was already like mid-move. People really can't stop on a dime when there's momentum.
It was actually Chuck Hayes who landed on Yao's leg, but TT got the blame. I was at that game...... I remember driving around downtown Houston after the game and it was pouring rain. We were listening to 610 and obviously it was going to be a big blow. I just remember being so sad.
