Hi. My friends were trying to argue to me that Dwight Howard would dominate Olajuwon. I'm only 20, and they're my age. I realize that I was unable to analyze basketball in an efficient manner at the time of Hakeem's prime, but I still watched him religiously back then, and I know that he had talent that is unheard of today at the center position. Essentially, these guys have no idea how dominant Hakeem acutally was and I have to prove to them that he was something like they have never seen before. For this reason I am asking, almost begging for some sort of download of an Olajuwon highlight mix. I don't know if anyone has made one, or has one saved on their computer, but if so I would highly appreciate it if someone could upload it to a file share website (sendspace, megaupload, etc). The reason I'm requesting a download link rather than a youtube link is because a youtube quality video could never do justice to show what the Dream was actually doing out there and his incredible agility. I'm sure that many others here would appreciate some sort of download like this too, so I felt that it was worthy of it's own thread if it can be found. Thank you for your help.
Dont be mad at me, but I think he would dominate olajuwon seeing that olajuwon has probaly never played Nba live on X-box. Dwight would probaly blow him out by atleast 20
youtube Search for Olajuwon. I especially like the mix made by our fellow clutchfans member TheReasonSF3, which is the third video.
You can watch a lot of YouTube videos in high quality now. Just click the link that appears below the view count. Problem solved.
I'll resort to that if I have to, but the reason that I requested a download is because youtube quality sucks, so I was gonna try and get a high quality download.
After I posted, I went and checked the videos I found for "Hakeem Olajuwon" and nothing seems to be available in high quality. Bummer. If you can give me an e-mail address, I'll send you the video someone already mentioned in this thread.
Nevermind on the e-mail. I will just upload it to my filefront.com page. It should show up at the top of the list within a half hour or so. http://hosted.filefront.com/thekurtman31
First, try to get your friends to prove Howard could do anything with David Robinson. Use stats and show YouTube clips of the Admiral, which will greatly bolster your cause. After they've exhausted all their arguments and pretty much come to the conclusion that they're similar players, show them what Hakeem did to Seaboy.
its hard to explain to young people how fluid and graceful olajuwon was compared to even above average big men.
They probably wouldn't remember Robinson as anything more than Deke to Duncan's Yao. D-Rob retired when they were like 15. They are more familiar with him as a face on billboards selling bottled leadership or whatever he does. Man, I see David Robinson's face more than I need to.
How about showing them footage of how Dwight couldn't dominate Sheed. What do they expect one of the best defensive big men of all time would do to him? Where do your friends live... I will personally go to their houses and slap them, with a dubbed clutch city tape.
Tell your friends to look up Dwight's head to head stats vs Yao. After they see that Yao owns Dwight when they play each other, your friends will have to either admit that Dream would have owned Dwight too, or make the ridiculous claim that Yao is better than Dream.
Dwight can outrebound Hakeem and has more athelitism, buit Hakeen has a MUCH MUCH BETTER post up game, a better shooting touch, a better blocking ability, better passing ability, better leadership... I dont see Howard as a leader of the Magics as I saw Hakeem as the leader of the Rockets
