There was a whole thread about people being able to saddle up for the same bet. And there were more than 15 people there willing to be on Sam Fisher's side of the bet.

You already have your 15 and more than that.

Show your true colors. Either take the bet or don't.

the ball is in yours, i offered you a chance to participate in The Challenge quite some time ago.

The fact that you must have what is in essence a 15-1 payoff shows me of what you think of McCain's chances here.

You are essentially saying there's a there's a 6.7% chance that McCain will win - my only word here is WOW.

Darth Vader finds your lack of faith.....disturbing.

My terms are that the 15 must include Batman, glynch, mcmark, FranchiseBlade and Deckard. That entire group is not a part of that thread that you linked. Those are my terms.

Well, there is the bet -- no outs for Jorge_Magnanimo -- time for a mod to step in and make it official.

    Paging Jeff.

So with conditions, 15-1 is actually more like 20-1, you really think Obama is a 95% victor? Dark days for you indeed.

Do you people realize that, once again, you've taken the bait? This could have been a decent topic of discussion but it ran off the tracks immediately. All TJ has to do is post ONCE and you guys come running like a stampede. His mission was accomplished quite easily. This time, I'm laughing as hard as he is.

    I laughed at this.

Seriously, though-- back on track. I'm all in favor of going for support in unconventional demographics and recently red states. Obama is a candidate who can excite all kinds of people. McCain only has vague, false attacks against Obama-- "more government spending; so, fewer jobs".

I think it is. The polls are slowly staying pretty consistent and in Obama's favor closer to the election. It was different for Kerry.

What are earth are you babbling about, Trader_J? I never voted in the silly poll in the other thread and have no interest in a "contest" that appears to have no purpose other than shutting up you, or Sam, for some apparent benefit of "one side or the other." You should have been tossed for various and sundry reasons, far too numerous to mention, long ago, and remain due to the power of the devine (Clutch!). If he's happy with you, then the rest of us just have to deal with it.

As for Sam? I enjoy his posts. Sure, the odds are heavily in his favor, but in the highly unlikely event that he loses this "bet," I would miss his posts. So don't include me in this drama, OK?

    Impeach Bush, Cheney, and Trader_J!

An interesting contrast would be to see what dem's or former dems have endorsed McCain.

Thus far you could count Liberman in that group. He's heading up the group and here's the list as of June, including the two waterford candidates TJ has pointed out:

Former Phoenix Mayor Paul Johnson (Arizona)
Former Arizona State Legislator Phil Hubbard (Arizona)
    Mammoth Mayor Craig Williams (Arizona)
Former Arizona LULAC Director Ray Gans (Arizona)
Democratic 25th Precinct Chair Silverio "Silver" Salazar (Colorado)
Adviser to Democratic Presidential Candidates and Georgetown University Professor Robert Lieber (District of Columbia)
Blogger on HillaryClinton.com Renee Slater (Florida)
Former Sheriff of Highlands County Howard Godwin (Florida)
Jewish Outreach Adviser to Senator Hillary Clinton Rabbi Cheryl Jacobs
Georgia Political Director for Gore-Lieberman '00 Joseph O'Farrell Jr. (Georgia)
Former Democratic Des Moines County Chair Bruce Shulte (Illinois)
Former State Representative Brian Golden (Massachusetts)
Commander of Newport Memorial-VFW Post 1119 Francis Harding, Jr. (Maine)
Former Palmyra Budget Committee Member Herb Bates (Maine)
Former Lt. Governor and State Supreme Court Justice Alexander "Sandy" Keith (Minnesota)
Former U.S Representative and 2002 Independence Party gubernatorial candidate Tim Penny (Minnesota)
Former State Representative Steve Wenzel (Minnesota)
    City Clerk Judi May (Mississippi)
    County Supervisor Gary Dearman (Mississippi)
    Alderman Bill Mosby (Mississippi)
Former State Representative Jim Gamache (Missouri)
Presiding Commissioner in New Madrid County, Clyde Hawes (Missouri)
Former Concord Mayor Bill Veroneau (New Hampshire)
Former Democratic Mayor of Waterford Township George Fallon (New Jersey)
Former Democratic Committeeman in Warren Township Jeffrey Golkin (New Jersey)
Former State Chair of Environmentalists for Clinton-Gore 1992 Roberta Weisbrod (New York)
Former Majority Leader in the State Senate David Carlin (Rhode Island)
Former Texas Democratic Party Chairman Roy Orr (Texas)
Elected National Delegate for Senator Hillary Clinton Debra Bartoshevich (Wisconsin)
Former Democratic gubernatorial candidate Philip Frye (West Virginia)
