It's time for a fresh look. Republican and Republican leaners only please. Others can vote in the Democrat poll.
i think i know the direction this poll will round out.... now only if the general population would follow suit.
If Democrats could vote in both races, you might get your wish. Likewise military and other people with really, really good reasons to oppose the war. Likewise single issue voters who, say, support legalization of drugs or abolition of the Dept. of Education. Likewise White Supremacists. Talk about a big tent.
Huckabee's running a good campaign... for the nomination. He's perfectly positioned to be the Religious Right candidate and therefore the nominee when Rudy and Romney falter. Staying under the radar a bit, retail politics, cozying up to the RR on all their social issues...
Concur -- So far, I'm an eager Huckabeliever. If Richardson falters (or settles for VP), I'll be an eager Hucka-bee, especially if Hillary is nominated.
While the libs on this site might be a little crazy, the Republicans on this site are much smarter than the population as a whole.
Either a conservative liberal or a liberal conservative. The libs definitely reflect my personal values regarding any number of things, mostly social stuff, but the big government aspect keeps me leaning toward republicans. Just stay out of my life and let me be happy. Socialized medicine scares me. I hate politics.

That you would post something like that first YouTube piece is disturbing. I would recommend clinical help. You have a place in my prayers.
That might not be that far from the truth. If you see him win the nomination you might see a commercial of him running the otherway. I will say this about Romney is that he really looks Presidential.
awesome! not bad for a right-wing nut-ball wacko white supremacist! suck it libpigs and bush-loving fake conservatives! and if paul is such a crazed wacko how come he is the leading fundraiser among active duty military? that should speak volumes - the people most invested in this war support the guy who wants to bring them home. http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D8SNV5Q02&show_article=1&catnum=3 Ron Paul Raises More Than $4.2 Million WASHINGTON (AP) - Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul, aided by an extraordinary outpouring of Internet support Monday, hauled in more than $4.2 million in nearly 24 hours. Paul, the Texas congressman with a libertarian tilt and an out-of-Iraq pitch, entered heady fundraising territory with a surge of Web-based giving tied to the commemoration of Guy Fawkes Day. Fawkes was a British mercenary who failed in his attempt to kill King James I on Nov. 5, 1605. He also was the model for the protagonist in the movie "V for Vendetta." Paul backers motivated donors on the Internet with mashed-up clips of the film on the online video site YouTube as well as the Guy Fawkes Day refrain: "Remember, remember the 5th of November." Paul's total deposed Mitt Romney as the single-day fundraising record holder in the Republican presidential field. When it comes to sums amassed in one day, Paul now ranks only behind Democrats Hillary Rodham Clinton, who raised nearly $6.2 million on June 30, and Barack Obama. Paul spokesman Jesse Benton said the effort began independently about two months ago at the hands of Paul's backers. He said Paul picked up on the movement, mentioning in it speeches and interviews. "It's been kind of building up virally," Benton said. The $4.2 million represented online contributions from more than 37,000 donors, fundraising director Jonathan Bydlak said Monday night. Paul has been lagging in the polls behind Republican front-runners. But he captured national attention at the end of September when he reported raising $5.2 million in three months, putting him fourth among Republican presidential candidates in fundraising for the quarter. Paul as of Monday had raised more than $7 million since Oct. 1, more than half his goal of $12 million by the end of the year, according to his Web site. Paul advocates limited government and low taxes like other Republicans, but he stands alone as the only GOP presidential candidate opposed to the Iraq war. He also has opposed Bush administration security measures that he says encroach on civil liberties.
I think that's actually the problem with Romney. He looks like that generic fictional President you always see in movies and TV shows. But we all know those guys never actually get elected.
From Andy Sullivan (who's fast becoming one of my fav conservative bloggers) -- A $4.3 million haul in 24 hours. Good enough to rattle Frum. Frum tries to belittle the achievement by comparing it to Ralph Nader's $8 million fundraising in 2000. But over half that in mere hours? The Ron Paul phenomenon is real. The Christianists and neocons will decry it because it affects their power over the GOP. And because when a conservative stands for freedom again, it resonates and threatens them. Congrats, Congressmen - and everyone who is pulling for him. Whatever happens in this race, Paul's candidacy has already provided a focus for all of those conservatives who despise the big-spending, unchecked executive, busy-body, Christianist wing of the GOP. And all those liberals who know that a new politics - centered around individual freedom and global peace - needs to be born. http://andrewsullivan.theatlantic.com/
