It would be hard to make this kind of stuff up.

Rep. Warren Chisum (R) sent out a memo to the entire Texas Legislature claiming that the theory of evolution is a Jewish conspiracy.

    One gem from the memo-

“Indisputable evidence — long hidden but now available to everyone — demonstrates conclusively that so-called ‘secular evolution science’ is the Big-Bang 15-billion-year alternate ‘creation scenario’ of the Pharisee Religion,” ...

“This scenario is derived concept-for-concept from Rabbinic writings in the mystic ‘holy book’ Kabbala dating back at least two millennia.”

    See the whole memo here-

    Added hilarity.

The memo cites as its documentation- http://fixedearth.com/

These nutjobs don't even believe that the earth is rotating on its axis.

    From the fixedearth home page-

    Levitating Globe

"An electromagnet and computerized sensor hidden in its display stand cause the Earth to levitate motionlessly in the air." (refering to a magnetic floating globle).

Could God have engineered something like that for the real Earth?

The Bible and all real evidence confirms that this is precisely what He did, and indeed:

The Earth is not rotating...nor is it going around the sun.

The universe is not one ten trillionth the size we are told.

Today’s cosmology fulfills an anti-Bible religious plan disguised as "science".

The whole scheme from Copernicanism to Big Bangism is a factless lie.

Those lies have planted the Truth-killing virus of evolutionism in every aspect of man’s "knowledge" about the Universe, the Earth, and Himself.

    Take your time.

    Check it all out.

    Decide for yourself.

I think anyone who has an interest in getting started in politics should run against Warren Chisum. It can't be that hard to beat him.

As a member of the Jewish Conspiracy (TM), I am very upset that our efforts have yet again been foiled. Drats.

We just had a Secret Meeting and we decided we are going to stop trying to fluorinate the water, creating new reality TV shows, promoting gay marraige, making it illegal to celebrate Christmas and Easter and sadly, yes, teaching evolution, to concentrate on our real agenda: getting Yao Ming traded to the Lakers or Knicks.

I would stay to talk, but I have to go destabilize international banking before Louis Farakahn builds his spaceship.

    Regards,

In 1921, when he was 61 years old, former Democratic Presidential nominee William Jennings Bryan began a new campaign -- to ban the teaching of evolution in public schools. During the Scopes Monkey Trial, many wondered if Bryan had given up his progressive ideals. His religious faith had turned him against science, education and free speech.

Party affiliation has nothing to do with on or off the wall thinking.

Exactly! I'm glad you brought this up because everyone knows that the political parties of 1921 are exactly the same as they are today. NOTHING HAS CHANGED AT ALL!

Also, we haven't had ANY advances in science in the last 90 years.

    Great comment! Please post more!

    Umm yeah,

Party affiliation has a lot to do with the attempts to debunk evolution. Today the evolution debunkers find their home almost entirely in the Republican party. Most Republican politicians don't take it to this absurd extreme, but it wasn't just roll of the dice that this nuttiness came from a Republican legislator.

Jeff Van Gundy is from New York and we all know a lot of Jews live in New York therefore Jeff Van Gundy is part of your vast conspiracy..

How far does this go? How far...........?
