But the BBC actually had to make a statement or explain their decision, addressing the 'concerns' of Doctor Who being a female. The race of the actress is about as fringe as it can get. How then do you explain the backlash to Star Trek Discovery show and Ghostbusters? Both cast minority women as leads and the backlash to it being some SJW feminist liberal propaganda was pretty large.

No it's not. Trump is now the mainstream representative of Republicans. He has an 85% approval rating from them. Republicans love Trump. The far right you speak of is now the Republican party. I always wondered what ever happened to the moderate Republicans that used to be on this board. They don't exist anymore! They are either far right or "independents"
