For someone who is not a hard core political guy, i found them to be stupid. Every monument you can think of (Lincon on the top of my head) has columns in front of it. Hell most of those huge courthouses have it.

So it's just pretty much another failed attempt to point something out that has nothing to do with the issues in my mind.

For what it's worth im neither a Dem. or a Rep.

    No, little brother.

I haven't been to Rudz or any other bar in a few months. Since my girlfriend and I moved in together (two years ago in six days), I hardly ever go out. And in the last couple months I've hardly had more than a beer per week. But that's real cute though.

Dude... he can have a kid out of wedlock for all I care...

Do you remember that in the Bible, people went in a tent, did the do, came out and were pronounced "one?"

He's cool on that... way to be monogamist and faithful! Seriously!

BTW - The joke was stupid... but it was also very funny...

That's not really any of your business, is it? But while we're on the subject, isn't it about time for you to find a steady and move out of your mom's? 21 years of sleeping in the bottom bunk with stinky ol' Chicken George up top seems like a long time too.

I noticed your vote in the poll. Do you think we should remove the Greek columns in front of all those un-American national monuments they got up there in D.C.? Get a rope, right?

The choices boil down to "un-American" and "stupid." Is that really how you wanted the poll to read?

At any rate, I went with stupid because in spite of his two "autobiographies," Obama is neither an icon or a Greek God.

The Grecian Temple of Brainlessness shall forever be PILLORIED, as it rightly should be. It was presumptuous and arrogant. Classic Snobama. Is there any more to this guy besides well mouthed teleprompted speeches, stagecraft, and pageantry?

You just can't alternate between self-aggrandizement and misogynistic attacks, like Obama has done, and expect to be trusted. Not with his background you can't. Not with anyone's background. Take away the mainstream media's overwhelming bias for him and the HUGE democratic tailwinds this year and Obama is literally down 30 points right now. The fact that this is a tight race just underscores how much of a joke Snobama is.

A dumb poll. Dumb responses. Even dumber responses to the responses.

    Was this the intent, Batman?

This is an inconsequential thread topic, but I'll toss in my two cents. The columns were as gimmicky and silly as Obama's faux presidential seal. Obama practically begged to get punked for it.

They are funny, but they don't do what the party wishes. They don't make me dislike Obama for it. They just amuse me. Both Guiliani and Palin were cracking me up last night, even if they were saying things I didn't agree with or weren't true. I laughed my butt off.

But hey, I laugh at comics who make fun of stupid stuff too.

I never noticed Bush's columns, for all I know every convention has had them in the past.

I wouldn't have noticed the columns at Obama's acceptance, if the repubs didn't have such a dizzy over it.

Surely this is far more embarrassing for repubs than dems? The RNC even had a memo about it!

But all things aside, I'm pro-row. (down with columns!)

I think the point of the republican response to the "stage" is that it cost 5 million dollars and was designed by a leading set design firm. If that is taken in to account than yes the columns are dumb and un-american.
