According to Jason Quick, a very reliable source and one of the best NBA writers, Francis will ink a 2 yr deal with the Clips. ============================== It is believed Francis will sign a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, probably for around $1 million this year and around $5 million next season. That means the Blazers will save about $3 million -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://blog.oregonlive.com/behindblazersbeat/2007/07/aldridge_out_undergoes_mri_on.html

He's making a mistake, but whatever makes him happy, it appears to me that his 'happiness' and love of the game is dependent on where he plays, and whom he plays with. Best of luck Stevie...
His agent must be pissed. Even I thought he would get more money than that. Love conquers all, though.
Don't really care anymore since we got James and Brooks. Hope he does well in LA though, I hate to see Stevie do bad

That's a wierd contract, I don't think it's allowed to have such jump from year 1 to year 2... Portland should be extatic to get ~$4M discount upfront and a 50% offset. It was clear that they would have to buy him out, Steve's agent shouldnt have given in on the offset...
That part doesn't make any sense capwise. You can't sign a two year deal with the first year at $1 mill and then next year it jumps to $5 mill. 12.5% is the max raise in the NBA. Whatever.
if this is true I am so buying a clippers mini-pack this year, I really hoped he would come back to houston but since the clippers are my second favorite i cant hate too much, cept when they play houston
Oh crap. Beat me to it. I was about to search for a 'Reunited' video as soon as I finished reading this thread.
